It'd be the best choice I think, but not a very good one. That leaves the PS3, that has got PSN which is free, but still required if you want to play online. Not even the Xbox 360 seems like a good choice, in my opinion, because you can't play online with other people unless you're paying a subscription fee. Also, I don't think Blizzard wants to divide the community (given that console owners will be able to play together with PC owners) and the Wii would not be very helpful in that aspect because of the awkward system that is friend codes. Although I wouldn't exactly say that any form of controller is precise compared to a mouse and keyboard. I'm with Homertherat regarding precision. This is really all just speculation of course, but what do you guys think? So I can see the Wii being the console of choice if this "console version" actually does come to exist. which you could control your toon with, much like how a mouse works. I think it could totally be done on the Wii without compromising much of how Diablo works as a game. So that leaves us with one Console, the Wii. it's after all a point and click action RPG. Now, if they are trying to NOT change the mechanics much, than obviously they aren't going to want to use something that uses a joystick, because that completely changes how Diablo works. "There's only 3 major consoles out right now that are worth putting Diablo on, and that's of course the 360, PS3, and the Wii". So after reading this, my thought process was. With this being said, they also said something along the lines that they "Weren't going to be changing much if it's done, we want to keep it like Diablo 3 as much as possible and try not to change the mechanics of the game to fit a console". I'm not sure if anyone else has posted about this, but: I remember it being said in some interviews recently that they are really looking into putting Diablo 3 on the console.
